Wow, this week has gone by fast! I've been learning a new function at work and that really made the days fly by. It's something I'll help with from time to time, in addition to my regular job. Basically when my company purchases customer accounts from other companies, I'll be making sure the accounts that need to be handled by my department have been entered into our system correctly and then going through the paper files they send us and notating what's in them. If there are any problems or discrepancies, I either need to fix the problem myself if I can or refer it to someone to research. Up until now there has only been one person responsible for all that and the workload just became too much. Plus it's always good to have a backup person who knows what's going on. Initially there were going to be three of us learning the job, but one person accepted a different new permanent position and the other was assigned to a special project. So now there's just me. If the girl who is training me decides to leave anytime soon, I guess the whole thing falls to me. What did I get myself into?
