Just One More Game

  • What's for Dinner: Snow crabs and cheddar-garlic biscuits
Jeanie, Afton, and DD, I was just at a jewelry party last night, and I did make my obligatory purchase so I wouldn't end up in the Silpada slammer.  I guess it wasn't too bad considering I haven't bought myself any jewelry since, let's see...oh yeah, the last jewelry party I went to. I do really like the earrings I got last time though. But I still probably wouldn't have gone at all if the hostess wasn't my very good friend.

It looks like I haven't updated here in a while. Lately my evenings have been filled with alternating games of Solitaire and FreeCell. I must break the obsession. Right after one more game...

Lots of other little things been keeping me busy as well. I filed my taxes (federal and two state) and then did my mom's (federal and state). Refunds all around!  I'm always so glad when that's all done. Thank goodness for TurboTax online.

The fan in my car mysteriously stopped working one day, so I had no heat and no defroster/defogger on some very chilly mornings.  I dropped my car off at the dealer on Wednesday to be fixed. Luckily I only work a couple miles away from there, so they were able to give me a shuttle ride to work and then come pick me up later. The problem wasn't anything major, just a short in a relay switch. The car is still under warranty, so no charge. Sweet!
