On a Shopping High

The temperature got up to about 70 today and it was gorgeous.  Every spring day should be just like it. My mom and I went to a department store this morning. They were having some sales and they sent me a coupon for an extra 30% off everything, which made even better deals. Neither of us had really bought anything for ourselves in quite a while. My mom picked out a few things and I got some new tops and unmentionables, which I won't mention.  Before we left we took a quick trip through the bedding area. I was hoping to get a new spring/summer quilt or comforter. I spotted a quilt set on the clearance shelf for 60% off that I thought would look great with the green and purple accents I already have in my bedroom. The set came with the quilt, two shams, and three decorative pillows. So I bought it. When I got it home I discovered that the striped color border of a set of sheets I bought last year goes perfectly with the colors in the quilt. Don'tcha love it when stuff all comes together like that? Here's the picture of the bedding that came with the packaging (No, that's not my bedroom.). Sorry part of it is a bit crinkled.

The shopping didn't end there though, because after we took a break for lunch, we went to the grocery store. I scored a new personal best, saving 70% off my bill with sales and coupons!
