Jeepers Creepers

I went to the eye doctor today for a check-up and to get new contacts and glasses. Time got away from me and it's been a couple years since I was there. I didn't really think there'd been any change in my vision, so I expected the routine in and out visit. Little did I know. I have a condition that gives me a higher probability of  developing glaucoma, and it looks like that's starting to happen.  The doc ran some extra tests and right now I'm either at the highest normal level, or just crossing over into the risk area. He's going to test again in six months to see if there's any change. If it gets worse, I know it's not a death sentence or anything, but having severe vision problems or even going blind are not exactly on my list of things I'd like to do in life. So if you have an extra prayer lying around and could spare it, I'd appreciate it for the health of my peepers.

Work has been interesting. There's a change that's going into effect in June, and they asked me to revise all of our written procedures that would be affected by the change. So I worked on that task last week and had almost all of it done when I left on Friday. I had a vacation day scheduled yesterday, so I knew I'd still have today to finish up before tomorrow's deadline. Of course when I got into work today, I saw an email that was sent yesterday afternoon that basically reversed half of what had been previously decided.  So I had to spend all of today revising my revisions. Don't you love when that happens?

I saw the new Star Trek movie yesterday. Liked it, but didn't love it. It was good, but I didn't quite feel the magic. Maybe it will grow on me.
