- What's for Dinner: Homemade lentil soup and cheddar & garlic biscuits
No takers on the riddle I posted in my last entry, huh? I'm sure some of you have been unable to sleep pondering the answer, so let me end your torture. It's a deck of cards. 
We went from summertime heat back to cool and rainy. There rarely seems to be a happy medium. A good friend gave me some lentils, so I decided to try my hand at making soup today. Before this I had never seen a lentil, and if I ate one, I didn't know it. I put them in a crock pot along with carrots, celery, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, water, and some herbs and let it cook all day. Considering I've never made it before, it turned out yummy if I do say so myself.
