Doors have now apparently declared themselves my enemy. I was heading into the ladies room at work this morning and there was another girl in front of me. She pressed the automatic door opener and walked in. I was right behind her, and just as she cleared the door, it came slamming back on me. Ow.

Usually it stays open for about 30 seconds or so, and then closes slowly, plenty of time for the one wheelchair-bound lady on our floor to get in unscathed. We've called to have it repaired, so hopefully it won't take too long. Then, later, before I left work, I stopped in the ladies room again. I foiled the evil door by actually opening it manually. Novel idea these days, I know. But then I managed to bang my shin with the bottom corner of the stall door. Ow again.

I'm really tired of seeing rich, spoiled brats like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton on TV. Do they actually contribute anything to society? I haven't seen it. Yet people actually pay them money to show up at their parties. I just heard Paris on TV defending her partying, saying it's not her lifestyle, it's her job. What world do I live in?

I guess it's time for me to make a career change. I don't think I'm too bad looking (I haven't shattered any mirrors lately or anything) and people tell me I have a pretty good personality, so if anyone out there would like to pay me to show up at their party, my schedule is pretty open.
