Marie: I have never liked sweet tea, yet, my whole family drinks it that way except for me and my mom. (Mom is from New England originally). Don't think I can jump on the yogurt bandwagon. I hope everyone here in the good ol' US of A had a fun Independence Day.  My mom came over and spent the night. We ate deviled eggs, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, blueberry pie, and ice cream. We got to see plenty of fireworks without having to leave the house. Several neighbors and other people in the area set them off, so we had great views from my front and back doors.

It really annoys me when radio stations censor songs. Photobucket I'll be singing along in the car, and all of a sudden a word or entire line is blanked out for something they feel is inappropriate. For example, the Billy Joel song, "Captain Jack," was playing the other day, and I heard:

Your sister's gone out, she's on a date
<silence>
Your phone is gonna ring soon, but you just can't wait
For that call

If they have a problem with the song, why bother playing it at all?  Surely they have others to choose from.

I had to sing it all so I could remember the line. I agree, that's just stupid. Don't play the song at all. I love "Captain Jack" and Billy Joel.

I went to a mixed race wedding and the DJ put on a remix of Play that Funky Music. Except instead of the words "play that funky music white boy", it said "play that funky music; Play" Everyone on the dance floor looked at each other like WTF? The remix raised more eyebrows than the original lyrics would have.
